Accommodation
We are a community creating a festival at the intersection of justice, spirituality and art. The first festival took place in June 2011; the next one is June 21-24 2012. We take inspiration from many places, such as Greenbelt, Burning Man, the Iona Community, SXSW, and others. The festival is open to everyone; we don’t censor what can be said; we invite respectful - but fearless - conversation and action for the common good.
The Wild Goose is a Celtic spirituality metaphor that evokes unpredictability, beauty, and grace. The festival resonates with this image because we recognize that in the current climate of religious and political division and lack of civility, embracing the creative and open nature of our faith is perhaps our greatest asset for re-building and strengthening our relationships with each other, with our enemies, with our stories, our questions, and the other. In that spirit, in an informal setting, and in the context of creative and respectful relationships, we invite you to imagine a new world with us.

We are encouraging everyone to camp during your time at the Wild Goose Festival.
The festival site at Shakori Hills offers plentiful camping options for tents and RVs, as well as a designated late-hours ‘quiet’ camping area for families with children.
NOTE: You can now pre-register for tent and vehicle camping and pay for your camping fees upfront. Go here to pre-register.
Tent camping is $10 per tent for the whole festival. Each tent camping pass is good for a 10×10 tent or smaller. Anything larger will need 2 passes.
NOTE: Unless you have a Festival pass for the next day, you may not camp that night. For example, if you are camping Friday night, you must also have a Saturday wristband.
To cut down on traffic on the site tent campers without vehicle camping passes cannot drive a vehicle into the campsite.
Tent Rental: Although it is possible to rent tents online and have them shipped to you it is just as cost-effective to buy a cheap but sturdy tent from local hardware store or sporting goods outlet. A good-sized four person tent can easily be purchased for around $50-$60.
If you have children with you or enjoy quiet at the festival you may want to consider camping in the family/quiet camping area. Ask the parking crew where this is upon arrival.

RV's are welcome!
You can now preregister for vehicle camping. If you book now you can save $10 off the onsite price of $60. Go here to register.
A vehicle camping pass (car, camper, RV, van, etc.) is $60 at the gate and includes space for one vehicle and one big tent/canopy (larger than 10×10) or 2 small tents (10x10 or smaller). You will receive two tent camping passes with your vehicle pass.
NOTE: Shakori Hills does not provide electricity hookups for RVs.
If you are purchasing a vehicle camping pass, you must also have a 4-day festival pass.
Any vehicle over 25 feet will require two vehicle camping passes, as space is limited. Any trailer/vehicle combo must have two vehicle camping stickers (i.e. a sticker for each vehicle). You are welcome to tow your camper to your camping space and then park your vehicle in our main parking lot.
NOTE: Vehicles/RVs/Campers over 35 feet will be limited to the front camping area adjacent to the main parking lot.
A vehicle camping sticker needs to be displayed on each vehicle that is camping. If you are camping with a vehicle and a camper, each of them must have a sticker. If you want to park the vehicle that is towing the camper in the parking lot, you can purchase a 4-day parking pass for it.
NOTE: You are welcome to set up your RV site the day before the festival but will not be granted entry to the festival grounds. Please have your vehicle and RV on-site and set up by 2pm on Thursday, the 20th. Any vehicles not remaining with the RV’s must be removed by 3pm the first day of the festival. Once the festival commences you will not be allowed to remove your RV from the site until Sunday afternoon for any reason other than emergencies. If you are unable to attend the entire event we will provide alternative parking for your RV adjacent to the main parking lot. If you need accommodation in this manner, please inform one of the parking attendants upon arrival.
Tent - 10x10 or smaller: $10
Tent - larger than 10x10: $20 (2 passes)
